1. A distraction system comprising:
a housing;
a driver housed in the housing;
a first lead screw configured to rotate by actuation of the driver;
a second lead screw coupled to the first lead screw;
a first distraction rod telescopically coupled to the housing for longitudinal displacement relative to the housing;
a second distraction rod coupled to the second lead screw and telescopically coupled to the housing;
wherein upon actuation of the driver, the first lead screw rotates to move the second lead screw which displaces the second distraction rod relative to the housing, wherein after displacing the second distraction rod, further rotation of the first lead screw by the driver simultaneously displaces both the first and second distraction rods relative to the housing.
