1. A method of making a composition the method comprising:
a. harvesting pollen from a maize plant;
b. straining the pollen through at least one sieve;
c. collecting the pollen that passes through the at least one sieve;
d. mixing the collected pollen with an plastic powder to produce a pollen-plastic powder mixture, wherein the plastic powder has a particle size that is between about 20% to about 200% of a particle size of the pollen;
e. storing the pollen-plastic powder mixture in a sealed vessel to produce a stored pollen-plastic powder mixture; and
f. straining the stored pollen-plastic powder mixture prior to use.
