1. A device for producing a cold plasma, the device comprising:
a housing having an interior space, the interior space having a first portion and a second portion communicatively coupled with, and downstream from, the first portion;
an electrode positioned within the interior space, the electrode being configured to be in electrical communication with a radio frequency (RF) power source;
an input port configured to introduce a working gas into the first portion of the interior space upstream of the electrode;
and
an orifice communicatively coupled with, and downstream from, the second portion of the interior space of the housing, the orifice configured to permit the cold plasma to exit the housing, the cold plasma generated by passage of the working gas through the first portion and second portion of the interior space of the housing.
