1. An Apparatus configured for facilitating geospatial sensing of an environment, the apparatus comprising:
one or more processors; and
one or more persistent memory modules having program instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the one or more processors, perform:
collecting environmental data by a collection agent operating with a plurality of sensors configured to sense data relating to the environment; and
responsive to determining that a portion of the environmental data from a location area where the collection agent is disposed is needed for updating a report to be provided to a data consumption point, transmitting one or more pieces of the environmental data to at least one of an edge network node and a cloud-based datacenter node, the edge network node and the cloud-based datacenter node each configured to execute a client data service responsive to the one or more pieces of the environmental data,
wherein transmitting the one or more pieces of the environmental data to at least one of the edge network node and the cloud-based datacenter node comprises:
prioritizing the environmental data responsive to at least one of a determination of cellular radio access network (RAN) resource capacity available to the collection agent, cellular RAN transmission resource capacity, and cost of the cellular RAN resource capacity available to the collection agent; and
responsive to prioritizing the environmental data, transmitting the one or more pieces of the environmental data to the edge network node or the cloud-based datacenter node.
