1. A method of optimizing at least one in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) mismatch compensator (MC) parameter value for at least one IQMC parameter of an IQMC, comprising:
generating a first set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values corresponding to a first index by:
selecting a first IQMC candidate parameter value for the at least one IQMC parameter of the IQMC;
determining a second IQMC candidate parameter value that is an update to the first IQMC candidate parameter value,
wherein the first set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values comprises at least the second IQMC candidate parameter value;
generating a second set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values corresponding to a second index that is incremented from the first index;
determining a first performance metric for the first set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values and a second performance metric for the second set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values; and
based on determining that a performance corresponding to the first performance metric for the first set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values is greater than a performance corresponding to the second performance metric for the second set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values, selecting the first set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values over the second set of tested IQMC candidate parameter values.
