1. A system for simulating a welding activity, the system comprising:
a spatial tracker;
a mock welding tool; and
a display device;
wherein the system generates a simulated work space;
wherein the system simulates a weld puddle, the simulated weld puddle having real-time molten metal fluidity and heat dissipation characteristics,
wherein a position and orientation of the mock welding tool are spatially tracked by the spatial tracker;
wherein the system displays the simulated weld puddle in the simulated work space;
wherein the system displays a simulated welding tool in the simulated work space;
wherein a position and orientation of the simulated welding tool in the simulated work space are based on the spatially tracked position and orientation of the mock welding tool; and
wherein the simulated weld puddle comprises a plurality of temporary simulated fluid particles overlaying a portion of a simulated surface displacement map.
