1. A parking brake for a wheel rotor having a brake pad associated therewith, comprising:
a housing defining first and second passages;
first and second pistons provided in the respective first and second passages and being movable along respective first and second axes;
spindles extending into and connected with each piston;
a motor; and
a clutch unit associated with the spindles and including a rotating member, the clutch unit having a first condition such that the spindles rotate in response to hydraulic pressure applied to the pistons such that the pistons are axially movable within the passages and relative to the spindles into engagement with the brake pad, the clutch unit having a second condition in which the spindles rotate to drive the pistons into the brake pad and apply the parking brake, the clutch unit moving into the second condition in response to rotation of the motor, the rotating member being rotatable about an axis extending parallel to the first and second axes to move the clutch unit between the first and second conditions, the rotating member being stationary while the spindles rotate when the clutch unit is in the first condition and when the clutch unit is in the second condition.
