1. A merchandise display system for displaying an article of merchandise comprising:
a sensor configured to be secured to the article of merchandise;
a base configured to removably support the sensor thereon, the base defining an opening configured to receive a portion of the sensor therein;
a lock mechanism configured to lock the sensor to the base; and
an actuation mechanism extending about the opening and configured to actuate the lock mechanism,
wherein the actuation mechanism is configured to move about the opening, and wherein movement of the actuation mechanism is configured to cause the lock mechanism to lock the sensor on the base in a locked position or unlock the sensor from the base in an unlocked position.
