2. A flame trap filter, comprising:
a plurality of grid structures, that define a body, each grid structure of the plurality of grid structures is formed of a laid scrim, comprising:
a first layer of webs orientated in a first direction; and
a second layer of webs orientated in a second direction transverse to the first direction such that a plurality of grid openings are formed, wherein the plurality of grid structures allow fluid flow in an axial direction with respect to the body as well as two different transverse directions with respect to each other and the axial direction, and
wherein the first layer of webs and the second layer of webs are manufactured by solidification of a substance on a substrate.
