A tissue traction device comprising an elongate flexible element movable between a constrained substantially planar configuration, and a relaxed curved configuration, said flexible elongate member having a first end configured to engage a first target tissue portion, and a second end configured to engage a second target tissue portion, the tissue traction device further comprising a plurality of anchors extending from at least one of the first end or the second end of the elongate flexible element.
