1. A computer implemented method for monitoring an operational health of solid-fuel grill components, comprising:
providing power from a direct-current power source to a solid-fuel grilling component;
identifying, with a direct-current sensor, power characteristic data of the direct-current power source; and
determining, with one or more processors, the operational health of a solid fuel grill component selected from the group consisting of a blower, an auger motor, and a hot-rod, based upon a comparison between the identified power characteristic data and a predetermined power characteristic data baseline.
