1. Eyewear, comprising:
a frame;
an optical member;
a display coupled to the optical member;
a wireless transceiver; and
a processor having a high-speed interface coupled to the wireless transceiver, and a low-speed interface coupled to the wireless transceiver, wherein the processor is configured to use the high-speed interface for high-speed wireless communications, use the low-speed interface for low-speed wireless communication, and turn off the high-speed interface by sending a control signal from a universal serial bus (USB) control port of the processor to a switch after waiting for a fixed time period, when the high-speed interface is not communicating, in order to cause the high-speed interface to consume no standby power, and while the low-speed interface remains on, wherein the high-speed interface is a USB interface.
