1. A method comprising:
presenting, by a media device, a first cue at a first time;
receiving, in response to presenting the first cue, a first input from a wireless device at a second time, wherein the first input indicates that a first control of the wireless device associated with the first cue has been activated;
defining a first signal latency value based on the first time and the second time, wherein the first signal latency value corresponds to an estimated quantity of time before data transmitted by the wireless device will be received by the media device;
receiving, at a third time, a second input from the wireless device that includes an indication of a second control activation; and
processing the second control activation as if the second control activation is received at a fourth time that is prior to the third time, wherein a time interval between the fourth time and the third time is equal to the first signal latency value.
