1. A neuromorphic focal plane array (FPA) Read Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC) device for image event processing, comprising:
a detector array;
an analog detection layer; and
a digital event processing layer;
wherein a detector circuit of said analog detection layer performs spatio-temporal event detection;
wherein output of pixels of said detector array is processed by the detector circuit of said analog detection layer to detect events, providing a spatio-temporal event detection output to a digital event processing circuit of said digital event processing layer which outputs event information;
wherein said spatio-temporal event detection comprises temporal and spatial synchronous and asynchronous image event processing, and provides an asynchronous logarithmic output voltage and a synchronous integrated signal output voltage;
wherein an offset capacitor in said detector circuit is configured to store one of the asynchronous logarithmic output voltage or the synchronous integrated signal output voltage; and
wherein said offset capacitor is in series with a threshold switch which selects a threshold voltage input as a calibrated input to a negative input of said comparator.
