1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
obtaining, at a virtualization manager of a virtualization host of a cloud computing environment, a network packet which is to be delivered to a destination external to the virtualization host;
obtaining, at the virtualization manager, from a flow management service of the cloud computing environment, a packet rewriting rule for a particular packet flow to which the network packet belongs;
rewriting, at the virtualization manager, the network packet in accordance with the packet rewriting rule; and
causing, by the virtualization manager, a rewritten version of the network packet to be delivered to the destination.
