1. A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
transmitting, to a network entity, an indication of one or more capabilities of the UE to support beam group specific beam failure recovery (BFR), wherein the indication indicates at least one of:
a maximum number of beam failure detection (BFD) reference signals (RSs) the UE supports per TRP for at least two transmission reception points (TRPs);
a maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all of the at least two TRPs;
a maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports based on at least one of channel state information RSs (CSI-RSs) or synchronization signal blocks (SSBs);
a maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports per component carrier (CC) configured for the UE;
a maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all CCs configured for the UE;
a maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all the CCs configured for the UE in one or more frequency bands;
a maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all the CCs configured for the UE in one or more frequency ranges; or
a maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports in a slot duration and wherein a final capability of the UE is based on a combination of at least two of:
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports per TRP of the at least two TRPs;
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all of the at least two TRPs;
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports based on at least one of the CSI-RSs or the SSBs;
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports per CC configured for the UE;
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all the CCs configured for the UE;
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all the CCs configured for the UE in the one or more frequency bands;
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports across all the CCs configured for the UE in the one or more frequency ranges; or
the indicated maximum number of BFD RSs the UE supports in the slot duration;
communicating with the at least two TRPs using beams associated with at least two beam groups, each of the at least two beam groups associated with one of the at least two TRPs;
detecting a beam failure in a beam group of the at least two beam groups; and
participating in the beam group specific BFR, in accordance with the indicated one or more capabilities of the UE.
