1. A stator assembly for an electronically switched electric motor, the stator assembly comprising:
a stator extending in the direction of a first axis, the stator including a winding support, around which at least one winding is wound, the winding support having a radially inner surface defining a central hole extending in the direction of the first axis;
a screen at least partly covering the at least one winding of the stator, the screen including a first tab in contact with the radially inner surface of the winding support,
wherein the winding support includes a pack of laminations at least partly covered by an insulator, with the first tab being in contact with part of a radially inner surface defined by the pack of laminations,
wherein the pack of laminations includes at least one lug radially projecting inwardly into the central hole, with each the first tab of the screen being in contact, in an orthoradial direction, with the at least one lug of the pack of laminations.
