1. A display device used in mobile communication having a multilayer display screen comprising:
a front panel layer and a dielectric layer of display electrodes forming a display screen layer;
an antenna layer capable of receiving programming to turn on and off a plurality of patch antenna elements using a beam control layer, the antenna layer including a two-dimensional array of the patch antenna elements disposed on a dielectric substrate and are capable of forming signal beams to transmit radio frequency (RF) signals;
a ground layer;
one or more radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) layers;
a network of switches to activate and deactivate the RF signals to and from satellites orbiting the Earth and land-based base stations; and
wherein the antenna layer, the RFIC layers and the ground layer are disposed between the display screen layer and the beam control layer.
