1. An electrosurgical device comprising:
a power cable comprising:
a primary lead that connects to a first pole of an AC power source;
one or more auxiliary leads located adjacent to the primary lead and extending longitudinally along at least a portion of the primary lead;
a shield separating the primary lead from the one or more auxiliary leads along a longitudinal length of the power cable; and
an outer cover surrounding the primary lead, the one or more auxiliary leads, and the shield;
wherein the shield functions to restrict or prevent the passage of a signal between the primary lead and the one or more auxiliary leads; and
wherein the shield extends over the primary lead or the one or more auxiliary leads so that the shield is capacitively coupled to the primary lead, to the one or more auxiliary leads, or both, and the shield is electrically conductive.
