1. A method for integrating autonomous devices with an access control system, comprising:
receiving, by the access control system, from an autonomous device, an access request for access to an elevator in a building, the access request further including an indication of a tailgating event associated with an entity detected to be following the autonomous device;
validating, by the access control system, the access request by confirming that one or more security credentials that have been received within the access request had been assigned to the autonomous device by the access control system;
creating, by the access control system, in response to successful validation of the access request and based on information received in the access request, a landing matrix that defines access to one or more floors of the building and includes a travel destination for the autonomous device within the building and indicates to first go to a desired floor of the entity that is tailgating the autonomous device;
sending, by the access control system, the landing matrix to an elevator control system to grant the access to the autonomous device; and
controlling elevator door opening and closing, elevator dispatch, and elevator security based on the one or more security credentials, including having an elevator first go to a floor associated with the entity detected to be following the autonomous device in response to the tailgating event.
