1. A method, comprising:
offloading, by network equipment that comprises a processor and is part of a communication network of a carrier network provider, a function from a connected vehicle resource manager device that is also part of the communication network of the carrier network provider to the network equipment, wherein the function relates to an operation of a vehicle, wherein the connected vehicle resource manager device is associated with and external to the vehicle, wherein, based on the offloading of the function, the network equipment is allocated to perform a task of a group of tasks of the function, the task relating to control of the operation of the vehicle that is associated with the communication network, and wherein the group of tasks initially had been allocated to the connected vehicle resource manager device; and
in connection with performing the task, controlling, by the network equipment via at least one instruction transmitted from the network equipment to the vehicle, the operation of the vehicle based on data associated with the vehicle, wherein a portion of the data is received from a data source device that is associated with the communication network and external to the vehicle, and wherein the data source device comprises a second vehicle distinct from the vehicle.
