collecting, at or via one or more vehicle-mounted processors, data associated with use of the electric vehicle;
analyzing, at or via the one or more vehicle-mounted processors and according to insurance related data stored at the electric vehicle, the collected data, wherein the insurance related data comprises a likelihood of incurring a recognizable loss under a vehicle insurance policy;
generating, at or via the one or more vehicle-mounted processors, one or more risk indicators associated with the use of the electric vehicle based at least partly on the analysis of the collected data;
determining, at or via the one or more vehicle-mounted processors, that the electric vehicle is connected to an electrical grid for charging a battery included in the electric vehicle;
receiving, at the electric vehicle, at least one signal requesting the electric vehicle to transmit the one or more risk indicators over the electrical grid; and
transmitting, the one or more risk indicators with, or from, a communication unit, and/or under the direction or control of the one or more vehicle-mounted processors, over the electrical grid to one or more remote computer systems when the electric vehicle is connected to the electrical grid for charging the battery, wherein the transmission of the one or more risk indicators is triggered or caused by, or conditioned upon, at least in part, the determination that the electric vehicle is connected to the electrical grid for charging the battery.
