1. A system for obfuscating information in content that is to be presented on a display, the system comprising:
one or more memories; and
one or more processors, communicatively coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:
obtain content data that indicates the content,
wherein the content data is in a binary format;
process the content data, in connection with rendering the content for presentation on the display, to identify the information in the content;
determine that the information is to be obfuscated in the content based on one or more characteristics of the information;
when rendering first presentation data, for presenting the content on the display, render a portion of the first presentation data to overwrite pixel values that produce the information with pixel values that produce a redaction block;
provide the first presentation data to the display to cause presentation of the content with the information obfuscated;
generate second presentation data, for presenting the content on the display, to reveal the information,
wherein the portion of the first presentation data is unaltered in the second presentation data to reveal the information;
determine that a frequency at which obfuscated information of the content is revealed satisfies a threshold; and
generate a record that identifies an occurrence of data theft based on determining that the frequency satisfies the threshold, wherein the record identifies a user and the information.
