1. A system for imaging a scene, the system comprising:
a capturing unit configured to capture two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional information of the scene, the information comprising light waves from the scene;
an optical waveguide configured to propagate the light waves received from the capturing unit;
a first diffractive optical element configured to receive the light waves from the capturing unit and to propagate the light waves in the optical waveguide;
a second diffractive optical element configured to receive the light waves propagated by the first diffractive optical element and to direct the light waves out of the optical waveguide; and
a first image sensor and at least one second image sensor, each of which are configured to capture the light waves directed out of the optical waveguide and to generate first image data based on the light waves captured by the first image sensor and second image data based on the light waves captured by the at least one second image sensor, the first image sensor and the at least one second image sensor being in a region associated with the second diffractive optical element and capturing the information of the scene from an identical viewing angle.
