1. A sensitized composite scintillator comprising:
a body with a matrix made of polymer material or glass, and
a combination of perovskite nanocrystals with exposed surfaces, said perovskite nanocrystals including elements with a high atomic number which act as sensitizers, and light-emitter species, said light-emitter species being sensitized by the perovskite nanocrystals.
