1. A method of operating a wireless communication device connectable to a communications network, the communications network comprising an access node, the method comprising:
monitoring for a plurality of reference signals of a transmission in a plurality of resources, the transmission being provided by the access node, and
based on said monitoring: participating in positioning of the wireless communication device depending on an indicator indicative of at least one of a magnitude or a phase of at least one first path component of an impulse response of a radio channel, the at least one first path component being associated with at least one reference signal of the plurality of reference signals of the transmission.
