20. A system comprising:
a processor, and
a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer executable instructions stored thereon that when executed by the processor cause the system to perform operations comprising:
evaluating data regarding multiple oxidation layers, wherein the multiple oxidation layers originate from the same material of a component,
diagnosing a wear state of the component by utilizing the data regarding the properties of the multiple oxidation layers.
