1. A method for barometric pressure monitoring comprising:
a) providing at least three barometric pressure sensors, each individual one of the at least three barometric pressure sensors installed at a different, known height;
b) operating the at least three barometric pressure sensors to obtain at least three different barometric pressure measurements respectively, and at least one temperature measurement at the location of the at least three barometric pressure sensors;
c) using a determined error function, determining an optimum pressure value for each individual one of the at least three barometric pressure sensors and generating a reference pressure value for each individual one of the at least three barometric pressure sensors;
d) repeating steps b-c, above, to determine the barometric pressure at a given time.
