1. An intelligent door lock system for a door at a dwelling, the intelligent door lock system comprising:
a remotely operable lock configured to be coupled to the door;
a door status device configured to facilitate monitoring a status of the remotely operable lock including a locked state and an unlocked state;
a camera configured to be coupled to or proximate the door; and
one or more processing circuits configured to:
acquire a signal from the door status device indicating a change in the status of the remotely operable lock;
activate the camera to monitor an area proximate the door in response to the signal; and
deactivate the camera prior to the remotely operable lock being locked in response to determining that the door transitions from open to closed, wherein the camera continues to be activated until the door is closed.
