1. A siding product comprising:
a body having a first end and a second end defining a lateral direction therebetween, a top and a bottom defining a vertical direction therebetween, and a front and a rear defining a transverse direction therebetween;
a front surface of the body and a rear surface of the body that is opposite front surface;
a first connector on the front surface of the body;
at least one channel formed in the front surface below the first connector, wherein the at least one channel is elongated in the lateral direction between a first end of the channel and a second end of the channel;
a second connector at or near the bottom of the rear surface, wherein the second connector includes at least one projection that is elongated in the lateral direction between a first end of the projection and a second end of the projection, wherein a length of the at least one projection approximates a length of the at least one channel, the at least one projection being at least substantially rectangular;
wherein the at least one projection on the second connector is configured to mate or connect with the at least one channel formed in the front surface of an identical second siding product when installed to form a siding assembly for a structure, the at least one projection sized relative to the at least one channel to form at least one of a frictional interference fit or a tight snap-fit connection therewith.
