1. A method for beneficiation of mineralogical materials comprising:
inputting the mineralogical materials into a reactor vessel; and
performing at least one chemical reaction on the mineralogical materials using a plasma-based process in which a plasma is generated in the reaction zone by x-radiation, and the plasma induces a chemical reaction in the mineralogical materials,
wherein the mineralogical materials comprise materials derived from phosphogypsum.
