1. A system for conveying a slurry including a solid and a liquid to a placement site through a conveyance line, the system comprising:
a mixing tub configured to mix the solid and the liquid to form the slurry;
a pump operable to pump the slurry through the conveyance line a distance to the placement site; and
a control system operable to set a minimum flow rate in the conveyance line to maintain a critical velocity of the slurry based on a characteristic of the slurry and adjust a percent of solids of the slurry within the mixing tub based on at least one of a target pump rate or the distance to the placement site to maintain the minimum flow rate.
