1. An aircraft comprising:
a fuselage;
an airfoil attached to the fuselage and comprising a wing, the wing comprising:
a top surface having a first opening;
a bottom surface having a second opening; and
a cavity extending from the first opening to the second opening; and
a thrust device connected to a plate, the thrust device rotatably mounted within the cavity, and configured to rotate with the plate about an axis within the cavity from a vertical orientation to a horizontal orientation, and the plate is shaped to match the top or bottom surface,
wherein, in the horizontal orientation, the plate seals one of the first or second openings and provides continuity of the top or bottom surface, and
wherein, in the vertical orientation, a longitudinal axis of the thrust device is substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the fuselage and the thrust device is configured to provide vertical thrust.
