1. A control device to be mounted on a vehicle, the control device comprising:
an attention degree estimation unit configured, based on at least one of results detected by an occupant sensor for detecting motion of an occupant of the vehicle and a vehicle sensor for detecting a state of the vehicle, to estimate a degree of attention of the occupant to an approaching object approaching the vehicle;
an alighting restriction unit configured, when the degree of attention of the occupant estimated by the attention degree estimation unit is below a predetermined threshold, to cause at least one of a door opening/closing device, an audio output device, and an image display device, each mounted on the vehicle, to execute an alighting restriction operation;
a vehicle state detection unit configured, based on the result detected by the vehicle sensor, to detect whether or not the vehicle is stopped; and
an alighting motion detection unit configured, based on the result detected by the occupant sensor or the vehicle sensor, to detect alighting motion of the occupant,
wherein as a period of time from when the vehicle state detection unit detects the vehicle being stopped until when the alighting motion detection unit detects the alighting motion is shorter, the attention degree estimation unit estimates that the degree of attention of the occupant is lower.
