1. A drill stand comprising:
a base, the base having, on a bottom side thereof, a first gasket and a second gasket disposed within the first gasket, such that a vacuum chamber is defined between the first gasket, the second gasket, the bottom side of the base, and a mounting surface on which the base is configured to be mounted;
a mast defining a longitudinal axis and pivotably coupled to the base;
a support bracket moveably coupled to the mast and pivotably coupled to the base;
a carriage moveably coupled to the mast; and
a release valve in fluid communication with the vacuum chamber, wherein ambient air at atmospheric pressure is permitted to enter the vacuum chamber in response to actuation of the release valve.
