A compact canister for a carbon dioxide absorbent bed (scrubber), comprising: a housing consisting of permanently connected upper and lower parts, the housing having a side wall of which is provided with an opening blocked sealed by a plug with a spring and a flange attaching the head of the a scrubber head, and a bottom lower wall provided with a connector connecting of the to a counterlung;
inside the housing (2, 3) of the scrubber canister there are two screens attached, the a top screen and a bottom screen disposed within the housing, wherein between which there is an absorbent bed
