1. A method for reducing blood ethanol concentration and acetaldehyde (AcH) toxicity in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject in need thereof an effective amount of both (1) a composition comprising an alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and (2) a composition comprising an acetaldehyde (AcH) scavenger, wherein the ADH and the AcH scavenger are present in one composition or in two separate compositions.
