1. An expandable intervertebral implant comprising:
a first endplate having:
a single continuous sloped anterior face of constant slope extending an overall height of the first endplate and located at an anterior end of the first endplate, and

a second endplate having a posteriorly facing sloped surface for slidably engaging the sloped anterior face of the first endplate,
wherein one of the first endplate and the second endplate moves relative to the other of the first endplate and the second endplate in an anterior-posterior direction when the first endplate slidingly engages the second endplate, and
wherein the first endplate moves in the anterior-posterior direction and in an inferior-superior direction simultaneously when the first endplate slidingly engages the second endplate.
