11. A method comprising:
determining available scanning nodes for a job to scan a plurality of network addresses to determine an external view of an organization;
determining a job portion size based on a quantity of the available scanning nodes, scanning commands, and an amount of the plurality of network addresses;
creating job portions based, at least in part, on the job portion size;
providing the job portions to the available scanning nodes; and
modifying the job based on a determination that a first scanning result from a first of the available scanning nodes indicates that a previously seen device or service was not seen, wherein modifying the job comprises adding a first additional job portion to rescan the previously seen device or service and assigning the first additional job portion to a different scanning node and adding a second additional job portion to scan nearby locations with respect to the previously seen device or service.
