1. A method performed by a processor, the method comprising:
transmitting, by an authentication provider associated with a source application, a user ID token of a user to a destination application indicating that the user is authenticated by the authentication provider;
creating, by the destination application, a federation link linking destination application authentication credentials of the user to source application authentication credentials of the user; and
utilizing, by the destination application, the federation link to facilitate automated authentication when navigating from the destination application to the source application.
