1. A device, the device comprising processing circuitry coupled to storage, the processing circuitry configured to:
identify an initial fine timing measurement request (IFTMR) frame from an initiating STA (ISTA), the IFTMR frame including the ISTA's preference or support for parameters used in a ranging measurement;
cause to send an IFTM frame to the ISTA, the IFTM frame including parameters to be used in the ranging measurement;
transmit a beacon frame or a probe response to the ISTA, wherein the beacon frame or the probe response comprises an extended capabilities element that comprises an indication for phase shift feedback; and
determine phase shift feedback type support for the RSTA-to-ISTA location measurement report (LMR) based on the RSTA-to-ISTA phase shift feedback field set in the IFTMR frame or the IFTM frame.
