1. A communication apparatus comprising:
a precoder, which, in operation, applies a precoding matrix on a first symbol sequence and a second symbol sequence to generate a first precoded signal and a second precoded signal, the precoding matrix having one or more matrix elements that change periodically, wherein a phase change is applied to only one of the first precoded signal and the second precoded signal during the application of the precoding matrix; and
a transmitter which, in operation, transmits the first precoded signal and transmits the second precoded signal.
