1. A method for managing data protection, the method comprising:
obtaining metadata associated with a backup from a backup storage;
performing an analysis on the metadata using an analysis engine to generate an analysis result, wherein the analysis engine comprises a root cause analyzer, wherein the root cause analyzer performs a pre-protection process and a post-protection process to determine issues related to the backup,
wherein the backup storage and the analysis engine are operably connected to each other over a combination of wired and wireless connections,
wherein the backup storage is a first computing device (CD) that comprises at least a first integrated circuitry (IC) that provides services to a production agent,
wherein the analysis engine is a second CD that further comprises at least a second IC that provides second services to the backup storage;
generating a data protection strategy using the analysis result, wherein the data protection strategy specifies a user's recovery point objective that is set for data; and
providing the data protection strategy to the production agent.
