1. A method comprising:
transitioning a component of a processing device into a first sleep state selected from a plurality of sleep states based on a comparison of a predicted sleep state duration for the component to at least one duration threshold, wherein the predicted sleep state duration is based on at least feedback associated with one or more previous selections of a sleep state; and
transitioning the component from the first sleep state into a second sleep state of the plurality of sleep states based on a duration of time the component has resided in the first sleep state.
