1. A recombinant microbial host cell transformed with a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide having DNase activity, wherein
(a) the polynucleotide is operably linked to one or more control sequences that direct the production of the polypeptide in the recombinant microbial host cell, and
(b) the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide has at least 85% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5.
