1. A method of treating a subterranean formation comprising kerogen, the method comprising:
forming a mixture comprising field water and oxygen, wherein forming the mixture comprises adding oxygen gas (O2) to field water; and
injecting the mixture through a wellbore into the subterranean formation to oxidize at least a portion of the kerogen with the oxygen gas (O2),
wherein the oxidizing at least a portion of the kerogen consists of wet-air oxidation.
