1. An apparatus for storing and extracting an edible substance, comprising:
a container including an opening at a first end of the container and an aperture disposed through a surface at a second end of the container, wherein the opening of the container is operable to receive the edible substance into the container;
a platform disposed within an interior portion of the container and operable to maintain the edible substance received into the opening of the container; and
a stem extending from a base to the aperture of the container,
wherein the stem is operable to move through the aperture of the container,
wherein the platform is operable to move from a first position in the interior portion of the container to a second position within the interior portion of the container in response to movement of the stem through the aperture of the container,
wherein the stem includes one or more protrusions extending a distance perpendicular to a direction in which the stem extends from the base to the aperture of the container,
wherein the stem is operable to move between a locked state and an unlocked state, wherein, in the locked state, each of the one or more protrusions is adjacent an underside of the surface at the second end of the container, and wherein, in the unlocked state, each of the one or more protrusions is aligned with one or more cutouts of the aperture, and
wherein, when the platform is in the second position, the edible substance is positioned for removal from the platform and from the container.
