1. A razor apparatus, comprising:
a handle; and
a head mounted on the handle, wherein the head includes an upper portion and a lower portion that, when coupled together, are configured to have a single blade positioned between the upper portion and the lower portion, wherein with a cutting edge of the single blade is exposed through a front side of the head when the single blade is inserted from at least a portion of a rear side of the head and positioned inside the head between the upper portion and the lower portion, the cutting edge being exposed beyond a longitudinal side of the upper portion at the front side of the head, and wherein, when the upper portion and the lower portion are coupled together, at least part of a rear region of the upper portion is in contact with part of a rear region of the lower portion;
wherein the head includes a plurality of retaining posts on the lower portion of the head, at least two of the retaining posts contacting one or more points of contact on opposing sides of the single blade when the single blade is positioned inside the head, wherein the single blade is retained inside the head, at least in part, by the points of contact on the single blade being in contact with the at least two retaining posts, and wherein the at least two retaining posts allow only an entirety of the single blade to move, when the cutting edge is configured to contact a skin surface during shaving, in a direction perpendicular to the cutting edge of the single blade and in a direction laterally along the cutting edge when the single blade is positioned inside the head.
