1. A process for obtaining an extract, comprising:
extracting leaves or berries of a plant selected from Tasmannia lanceolata, Drimys winteri, Spilanthes acmella and Polygonum hydropiper and combinations thereof with supercritical CO2 at a pressure of between 120 and 350 bar and at a temperature of between 35 and 60° C.; and
recovering said extract, wherein the extract contains polygodial.
