1. A blood pressure monitoring device, comprising:
a light emitter configured to emit a light to a subject;
a light detector configured to detect the light that is scattered, deflected, or reflected from the subject to obtain a pulse wave signal from the detected light;
a processor configured to;
extract a first time point T1 and a second time point T2 from the pulse wave signal, as a plurality of characteristic points, when the pulse wave signal comprises a first component pulse wave that has a maximum amplitude at the first time point T1, and a second component pulse wave that has a maximum amplitude at the second time point T2;
determine, as amplitude values corresponding to the plurality of characteristic points, a first amplitude P1 and a second amplitude P2 of the pulse wave signal corresponding to the first time point T1 and the second time point T2, respectively;
determine the internally dividing points of the plurality of characteristic points by dividing a sum of a product of the first amplitude P1 and the first time point T1, and a product of the second amplitude P2 and the second time point T2, by a sum of the first amplitude P1 and the second amplitude P2; and
determine a blood pressure of the subject based on the internally dividing points of the pulse wave signal; and
a display configured to display a graph of the blood pressure of the subject which has been measured over time, and display a mark configured to move along the graph of the blood pressure according to a user input to allow the user to select a specific blood pressure data point from the graph.
